Description

This vibrant and flavorful salmon recipe combines the perfect balance of sweet and spicy with a sticky chili glaze. It’s quick, healthy, and perfect for busy weeknights or a standout weekend dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 salmon fillets (about 6 oz each)

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • 1/3 cup sweet chili sauce

  • 1 tbsp soy sauce

  • 1 tbsp lime juice

  • 1 tsp garlic (minced)

  • Optional: sesame seeds and chopped green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: To 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with foil or parchment.

  2. Prepare Glaze: In a bowl, mix sweet chili sauce, soy sauce, lime juice, and garlic.

  3. Season & Sear: Season salmon with salt and pepper. Heat olive oil in a skillet, sear salmon 2–3 mins skin-side up.

  4. Glaze & Bake: Transfer salmon to the baking sheet. Brush with sweet chili glaze. Bake for 10–12 minutes until cooked through.

  5. Garnish & Serve: Sprinkle with sesame seeds and green onions. Serve with rice or veggies.

Notes

  • For extra caramelization, broil salmon for 1–2 minutes at the end.

  • Use skin-on fillets for extra flavor and moisture retention.

  • Sweet chili sauce can be homemade or store-bought—adjust spice level to your taste.

  • Great served over jasmine rice, quinoa, or with a fresh cucumber salad.
