Description

This refreshing take on classic tiramisu replaces coffee and cocoa with layers of juicy strawberries, creamy mascarpone, and soft ladyfingers soaked in sweet strawberry syrup. A bright and elegant no-bake dessert perfect for spring and summer!

  • 1 lb (450g) fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced

  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar

  • Juice of 1 lemon

  • 1 tbsp strawberry or raspberry liqueur (optional)

  • 1 cup heavy cream

  • 8 oz mascarpone cheese

  • 1/3 cup powdered sugar

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 24 ladyfinger cookies (savoiardi)

  • Extra strawberries and mint for garnish (optional)


Instructions

  1. Make Strawberry Syrup: In a saucepan, combine half the strawberries, granulated sugar, lemon juice, and liqueur. Simmer 5–7 minutes until syrupy. Blend and cool.

  2. Whip Cream: Beat heavy cream to stiff peaks. In another bowl, mix mascarpone, powdered sugar, and vanilla. Fold in whipped cream.

  3. Assemble: Dip ladyfingers quickly into the cooled strawberry syrup. Layer in a dish: ladyfingers, mascarpone cream, sliced strawberries. Repeat layers.

  4. Chill: Cover and refrigerate at least 4 hours or overnight.

  5. Serve: Garnish with fresh strawberries and mint just before serving.

Notes

  • Make ahead for best flavor—overnight chilling deepens the taste.

  • For a boozy twist, use strawberry liqueur or champagne in the syrup.

  • Substitute mascarpone with cream cheese if needed.
