Ingredients
For the Chicken Tacos:

1 lb boneless chicken thighs or breasts, cut into strips

1 tbsp olive oil

1 tsp chili powder

1/2 tsp cumin

1/2 tsp smoked paprika

Salt and pepper, to taste

8 small corn or flour tortillas

Toppings: shredded lettuce, diced onion, cotija cheese, avocado, lime wedges
For the Green Sauce:

1 ripe avocado

1/2 cup fresh cilantro

1 jalapeño, seeded (optional for less heat)

1 garlic clove
-
Juice of 1 lime

1/4 cup sour cream or Greek yogurt

Salt, to taste

2–3 tbsp water (to thin)
Instructions

Cook the Chicken:
In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chicken, season with chili powder, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook 6–8 minutes until browned and fully cooked. Set aside. -
Make the Green Sauce:
In a blender, combine avocado, cilantro, jalapeño, garlic, lime juice, sour cream, and salt. Blend until smooth. Add water a little at a time until desired consistency is reached. -
Warm the Tortillas:
Heat tortillas on a skillet or directly over a flame for a few seconds on each side. -
Assemble Tacos:
Fill each tortilla with cooked chicken, then top with lettuce, onion, cotija cheese, avocado slices, and a generous drizzle of green sauce.
