Description

This creamy pink pasta sauce blends the bold tang of tomato sauce with the smooth richness of cream for a luscious, velvety finish. It’s a quick and elegant upgrade to your pasta night — perfect for cozy dinners or entertaining!


Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

  • 1 (15 oz) can crushed tomatoes

  • 1/2 cup heavy cream

  • Salt & pepper, to taste

  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • Fresh basil, for garnish

  • 12 oz cooked pasta (penne, fettuccine, etc.)


Instructions

  1. Sauté Garlic:
    Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add garlic and red pepper flakes; sauté for 1 minute.

  2. Add Tomatoes:
    Stir in crushed tomatoes. Simmer for 5–7 minutes to reduce slightly.

  3. Make it Pink:
    Stir in heavy cream and reduce heat to low. Simmer for another 3–4 minutes until creamy and well combined.

  4. Season and Finish:
    Add Parmesan, salt, and pepper to taste. Toss with cooked pasta.

  5. Serve:
    Garnish with fresh basil and more cheese if desired. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Add sautéed mushrooms, spinach, or shrimp for an extra protein or veggie boost.

  • For a lighter version, substitute half-and-half or coconut milk.

  • Want it extra rich? Add a knob of butter at the end.
