  • Author: meryem srhir
  • Total Time: 20 minutes
  • Yield: 12 treat cups 1x

Description

These no-bake Peanut Butter Chocolate Rice Krispie Treat Cups are rich, chewy, and satisfyingly crunchy. With layers of sweet peanut butter and smooth chocolate, they’re the perfect quick treat for snack time or dessert!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 cups Rice Krispies cereal

  • 1/2 cup peanut butter (creamy)

  • 1/2 cup light corn syrup or honey

  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar

  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

  • Optional: sea salt flakes for topping

Instructions

  1. Make the Base:
In a saucepan, heat peanut butter, sugar, and corn syrup over medium heat until smooth and just bubbling. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla.

  2. Mix with Cereal:
Add Rice Krispies cereal to the peanut butter mixture and stir until evenly coated.

  3. Form the Cups:
Press the mixture evenly into a greased or lined muffin tin, forming little cup shapes with your fingers or a spoon.

  4. Melt Chocolate:
Microwave chocolate chips in 30-second intervals until smooth. Spoon melted chocolate over each treat cup.

  5. Chill:
Refrigerate for 30 minutes or until set.

  6. Serve:
Optionally, sprinkle with sea salt before the chocolate sets. Enjoy chilled or at room temperature.

Notes

  • Almond or sunflower butter can be used for a nut-free variation.

  • Try dark chocolate chips for a richer flavor.

  • Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 1 week.
