Description
This mint chocolate chip ice cream delivers a creamy, refreshing flavor with bursts of chocolate in every bite. Perfect for summer or anytime you crave a cool dessert.
Ingredients
2 cups heavy cream
1 cup whole milk
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract
A few drops of green food coloring (optional)
1 cup mini chocolate chips or chopped chocolate
Pinch of salt
Instructions
1. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together heavy cream, milk, sugar, peppermint extract, food coloring (if using), and salt until the sugar dissolves.
2. Pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
3. When the ice cream is almost done churning, add the mini chocolate chips.
4. Transfer the finished ice cream into a freezer-safe container.
5. Freeze for at least 4 hours, or until firm.
6. Scoop and serve cold.
Notes
Adjust the amount of peppermint extract to suit your taste.
Use chopped chocolate instead of chips for a more rustic texture.
Store in the freezer for up to 2 weeks in an airtight container.
