  • Total Time: 45 minutes
  • Yield: About 36 brownies 1x

Description

Fudgy, rich, and deeply chocolatey — these homemade brownies are the ultimate crowd-pleaser! Whether you’re feeding a party, potluck, or big family, this easy recipe bakes up a big batch of moist, decadent brownies in one go.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups (4 sticks) unsalted butter, melted

  • 3 cups granulated sugar

  • 8 large eggs

  • 2 tsp vanilla extract

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1½ cups unsweetened cocoa powder

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 2 cups chocolate chips or chunks (optional for extra gooeyness)

Instructions

  1. Prep Oven & Pan:
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 13×18-inch sheet pan or line with parchment paper.

  2. Make the Batter:
In a large bowl, whisk melted butter and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla; beat until smooth.
Stir in cocoa powder, flour, and salt until just combined. Fold in chocolate chips.

  3. Bake:
Spread batter evenly in prepared pan. Bake for 28–32 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with moist crumbs.

  4. Cool & Serve:
Let cool completely before slicing into squares. Serve as-is or top with frosting or powdered sugar.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add a teaspoon of espresso powder to the batter.

  • Don’t overbake — fudgy brownies are best slightly underdone!

  • Easily halve the recipe for smaller gatherings or freeze leftovers for later
