Description

Golden, crispy, and irresistibly juicy, Chicken Milanese is a classic Italian dish made with thinly pounded chicken breasts, breaded and pan-fried to perfection. It’s simple, satisfying, and pairs beautifully with salad or pasta.


Ingredients

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (halved and pounded thin)

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour

  • 2 large eggs, beaten

  • 1 cup Italian-style breadcrumbs

  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • Salt & pepper, to taste

  • 1/3 cup olive oil (for frying)

  • Lemon wedges, for serving

  • Optional: chopped parsley, arugula salad for garnish


Instructions

  1. Prep Chicken:
    Slice and pound chicken breasts to 1/4-inch thickness. Season with salt and pepper.

  2. Dredge:
    Coat chicken in flour, dip in beaten eggs, then press into breadcrumb-Parmesan mixture.

  3. Fry:
    Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Fry chicken 2–3 minutes per side until golden and crispy. Transfer to paper towel-lined plate.

  4. Serve:
    Serve hot with lemon wedges and optional salad or pasta.

Notes

  • Make it lighter by baking at 425°F for 15–18 minutes, flipping halfway.

  • Swap breadcrumbs for panko for extra crunch.

  • Great with a simple arugula and tomato salad on top!
